Who we are
IR3C currently gathers together about 60 researchers interested in the scientific explanation of human behavior, which we approach from several perspectives, using many different research methods and approaches.
The researchers are mostly affiliated to the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Barcelona. However,given the differences in training, background and specialties we are definitely a multidisciplinary team, which includes mainly psychologists, but also biologists, medical doctors, engineers, physicists, chemists and pharmacists.
One of the first concrete actions of IR3C has been the creation of an office for projects management, by recruiting a person with extended experience in this domain, who is in charge of assisting all investigators of the Institute for preparing research proposals and projects.
Our main goal is to understand human behavior and to provide explanations for all phenomena and processes governing our daily life, and that give rise, under some circumstances to different forms of altered behavior.
IR3C is in a growing phase: we are always open to new collaborative proposals or to welcome new members of the different stages of the scientific career [from students to post-doc to senior researcher; please, check the section Join-us].
